Software Release

DogeBox software releases include the DogeBox App (iOS and Android) for onboarding and day-to-day operation, as well as the device firmware that runs on DogeBox1 itself. Use this page to find the latest builds and release notes.

This page is the only official source for DogeBox software. Scammers may distribute fake apps or firmware to steal your assets — never download the app or firmware, or click download links, from anywhere else.

App v2.0.5 — May 11, 2026

Easier sign-in, safer withdrawals, and a fresher visual polish.

Reminder: The old app retires on May 25, 2026 and the in-app CYS withdrawal flow is disabled with it. Withdraw any remaining old-app "CYS balance" before this date; if a balance is left behind, contact support for manual resolution.

Sign in with Your System Password Manager

Sign-in is now wired up to iCloud Keychain on iOS and the system password manager on Android. Saved credentials show up directly above the keyboard — no more switching apps to copy a password.

Tap-to-Copy Withdraw Addresses

Your LTC, DOGE, and CYS withdraw addresses can now be tapped to copy in one touch. Newly entered LTC and DOGE addresses are also checked against each chain's format on the spot, so a typo gets caught before funds are at risk.

Refreshed QR Scanner

The scanner has a new framing overlay that matches native iOS and Android scanners. It's easier to aim, and the cropped camera area looks cleaner.

Fresher Data, Less Confusion

Cached records are now invalidated automatically when you sign out, and when you reopen the app after a long stretch in the background. You no longer see balances or device states from a previous session at first glance.

Polish

  • Dialogs stay above the soft keyboard instead of getting covered by it.
  • Status-bar icons over the light app surface are now dark for better contrast.
  • Pull-to-refresh now works on the empty Devices screen.
  • A sharper app icon, regenerated from the designer's vector source.

App v2.0.3 — April 21, 2026

CYS distribution is moving on-chain, plus several quality-of-life improvements to the DogeBox App.

CYS: On-Chain Address Binding

The in-app CYS balance display and withdrawal entry have been removed. The "Me" page now offers a new "Bind CYS on-chain address" flow instead — the bound address serves as your identity for Cysic Network participation. CYS will be sent directly to that address rather than accumulating as an in-app balance.

Transition timeline:

  • April 21, 2026 (this release): Old and new apps work in parallel. We recommend binding your CYS address in the new app as soon as possible. During this window, CYS is still credited to the old in-app "CYS balance," which remains viewable and withdrawable via the old app.
  • April 27, 2026: CYS switches to on-chain distribution, sent directly to your bound address. The old "CYS balance" no longer accrues, but existing balances remain withdrawable via the old app.
  • May 25, 2026: The old app is taken offline and the in-app CYS withdrawal flow is disabled. Please withdraw any remaining old-app "CYS balance" before this date; if a balance is left behind, contact support for manual resolution.

Forgot Password

A "Forgot password" entry has been added to the login page. You can now reset your password via an email verification code without contacting support.

Device Uptime Timeline

Tap any device to open its detail view and see daily online status and solution count for the last 7 days.

Multi-Language Support

The app now supports Simplified Chinese, English, and Korean, and automatically follows the system language.

For Existing Users

Sign in with your existing account — device bindings and LTC/DOGE withdrawal addresses carry over automatically. You will need to bind your CYS address under the "Me" page so you continue receiving CYS from the new on-chain distribution starting April 27, 2026.

Firmware

The latest version of the firmware is v2.0.2. Download here.

After a new version is released, devices that can reach the server receive it automatically over OTA, rolled out gradually. You can also upgrade manually via recovery mode — useful when a device can't get online, you want the latest features right away, or you're working around an issue in the current version.

Firmware v2.0.2 — May 11, 2026

A small reliability update focused on startup recovery.

Stronger Startup Recovery

When the mining engine fails to initialize at power-on, the device now performs a full power cycle and tries again — repeating several times before giving up. Many units that previously showed a red fault on boot now recover on their own, without needing to be unplugged.

Accurate Online Status

A device that ultimately can't start mining no longer briefly appears as "Online" before turning red. The reported status now matches the indicator and the actual mining state.

How to Upgrade

Devices on v2.0.1 will receive this update automatically in the background. To upgrade manually, follow the firmware upload steps.

Firmware v2.0.1 — April 21, 2026

The largest firmware update since launch, with significant improvements to stability, networking, thermals, and the on-device UI.

What's New

  • Redesigned status indicator. Color + blink pattern now clearly express device state — see Indicator and Button for the full legend.
  • Button reset and recovery mode. Hold 5 seconds during operation to clear Wi-Fi and unbind; hold while powering on to enter recovery mode.
  • Automatic OTA updates. All future firmware improvements are pushed silently in the background — no computer, no manual steps.
  • Smoother Wi-Fi setup. Automatic retry on first-connection failure, better scanning in dense environments, and units now appear as DogeBox-XXXXXX on your router.
  • Smarter thermal management. Smooth fan curve (no more erratic cold-start noise) and automatic over-temperature protection.
  • Better stability. Self-recovery when internal modules misbehave, automatic reconnection on network jitter, hardened boot path, and unambiguous solid-red fault signaling.

How to Upgrade

Recommended: upgrade manually via recovery mode — takes only a few minutes. Follow the firmware upload steps.

We will also push this firmware automatically in May 2026, but auto-upgrade is not guaranteed to succeed on every device due to old-firmware limitations. Manual upgrade is strongly recommended.

Important: Support for the old firmware ends at the end of May 2026. Devices that have not been upgraded by then will be unable to connect to the server.
